Too Many Trees? Latest news for iphone/AT&T Customers

This direct from AT&T's Network Engineering Group for Los Angeles regarding Manhattan Village:
"The area in question is indicated to have marginal predictive outdoor level coverage due to the high amount of foliage covering the area. No plans in the near future that will increase the coverage area. One suggestion is to advise the customer about the AT&T 3G microcell solution coming in April of 2010 which comprises of a mobile that is connect to an existing modem or cable router."
So, AT&T is basically telling us that our reception problems are the result of having too many trees. Provocative comment in this day and age, eh? The solution they're mentioning costs $200 per homeowner and attaches to a cable modem. If you're good with this, then no worries!
