In response to rising water costs and a desire to conserve resources, the Landscaping Committee and GS Brothers have worked together to implement a number of cost and water saving efforts in recent months, including:

- Installing pressure regulators to reduce overall water pressure and water waste
- Redirecting/improving sprinkler systems adjacent to streets to minimize runoff and asphalt damage (note: this is a best efforts process; a small amount of streets and sidewalks will always get some level of overspray)

The Board of Directors held a Special Meeting on Feb. 10 to address a wide array of business matters on behalf of the Association.

In March, the Annual Membership Meeting will be held on March 2. The location is the Manhattan Country Club; check-in is 6:30 pm; meeting is 7:00 pm. A variety of information will be shared with respect to previous and current year operations of the Association.

The first "Muffins with the Manager" open house was hosted by Lesley at the management office on Tuesday 2/16. The light turnout might be result of scheduling conflicts or people not checking the website, which was our main venue for publicizing the first occurrence of this new event.

MVHOA homeowners are encouraged to drop by the management office for Muffins with the Manager in future months to discuss Village matters in an informal setting. Next Muffins event: Tuesday, March 16, 10-11am (see calendar). Let's get the word out! - D. White

Latest word from the Verizon FiOS installation crew: The installation is about 1/3 complete. Note that our streets will be resurfaced per agreement with Verizon following the FiOS installation. Timing for that is dependent upon completion of the installation, so we don't have specific dates for that yet. Also note that the Board is working to negotiate bulk pricing for MVHOA homeowners wishing to switch to FiOS for their Internet, TV, and/or phone service if a reasonable agreement can be reached. - D. Board members recently held another periodic meeting with management representatives from Raleigh Studios, our neighbor to the east. In an effort to keep studio noise to a minimum, here are concrete steps Raleigh is taking in order to be a good neighbor:

• Trash pickup time moved to 8:00 am
• Motorcycle parking relocated away from West Drive (the studio street nearest to Manhattan Village)
• Studio truck trailer parked on West Drive where it meets the road between the two adjacent studio entrances)
